Having spent a significant amount of time in the Bay Area, a student expressed an interest in learning Arabic as their second language to meet the foreign language requirement for high school graduation. With extensive experience in the Middle East, there is a limited working proficiency in classical Arabic. While there is the capability to provide two years of language instruction, it may not meet the academic credit criteria.
The absence of an Arabic language partner for school districts in Northern California, despite the region being home to one of the largest Arab and Muslim populations in the US, prompted the creation of FASEEHA Language and Arts.
Our goal is to provide the next generation with the means to maintain their cultural connections and heritage, fostering a deep bond with their roots through language and arts education.
