FASEEHA Language & Arts is a language and arts institute that offers comprehensive courses and programs for students eager to learn and explore the rich cultural heritage of the Middle East and South Asia through its languages and arts.

Our experienced instructors provide personalized instruction and a supportive learning environment to ensure that every student becomes proficient in their chosen language - Arabic, Urdu, or Farsi. By engaging in activities to hone the four language skills - reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities - students will be able to enhance their fluency levels.

Why Study Arabic?

Boasting a vast community of over 420 million speakers worldwide, holds a prominent position as the fifth most widely spoken language on the global stage. This linguistic richness not only reflects the cultural diversity and heritage associated with Arabic-speaking regions but also underscores the language's relevance and widespread use in various contexts.

Within the United States, a country known for its cultural diversity and multilingual population, Arabic has found a significant presence. With 1.4 million Arabic speakers residing in the US, the language holds the distinction of being the seventh most common non-English language spoken in the country. This prevalence highlights the importance and relevance of learning Arabic in a multicultural society, offering individuals the opportunity to engage with a vibrant community and immerse themselves in the language's rich linguistic and cultural tapestry.

Why Study Urdu?

With its deep-rooted history and cultural significance, presents a compelling case for language learners. As a language spoken by over 170 million people worldwide, Urdu holds a notable position as one of the most widely spoken languages globally.

In the United States, Urdu has gained recognition as a language of importance, with a growing community of speakers contributing to its presence. With its intricate script and poetic tradition, learning Urdu offers individuals a gateway to a rich literary heritage and a profound cultural legacy.

By delving into the study of Urdu, learners can not only enhance their linguistic skills but also gain insights into a diverse range of art forms, literature, and cultural practices. Moreover, with Urdu serving as a means of communication for a significant population, mastering the language opens up avenues for cross-cultural exchange and deeper connections with Urdu-speaking communities worldwide.

About FASEEHA

Having spent a significant amount of time in the Bay Area, a student expressed an interest in learning Arabic as their second language to meet the foreign language requirement for high school graduation. With extensive experience in the Middle East, there is a limited working proficiency in classical Arabic. While there is the capability to provide two years of language instruction, it may not meet the academic credit criteria.

The absence of an Arabic language partner for school districts in Northern California, despite the region being home to one of the largest Arab and Muslim populations in the US, prompted the creation of FASEEHA Language and Arts.

Our goal is to provide the next generation with the means to maintain their cultural connections and heritage, fostering a deep bond with their roots through language and arts education.
